Job summary

Elite Hotels (Rotherwick) Ltd. is seeking a friendly Hotel Concierge to welcome guests and ensure they feel well looked after from arrival to departure in our 4-star country house setting. The role is 35 hours per week on a 5-out-of-7 rota, including evenings and weekends.

You will greet guests, oversee parking and luggage, and provide local information while maintaining high standards of service and safety throughout the guest journey.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving and departing guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Oversee car parking, valet services, and reserve parking areas as needed.
• Handle and store luggage with a focus on safety and retrieval.
• Provide local information on transport, entertainment and leisure.
• Inform the Hall Porter of daily activities, conferences and functions.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, complaints and compliments; liaise with the Head of Department.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations, fire precautions and evacuation procedures.
• Assist with manual handling of luggage and keep entrances hazard-free.
• Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities or projects as required.

Do you enjoy meeting new people and making guests feel welcome. We are looking for a friendly and professional Hotel Concierge to join our team.

The role is to ensure that guests receive the warmest welcome and feel well looked after from arrival to departure, while experiencing the traditional hospitality of our 4-star country house hotel.

Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential. This role is 35 hours, on a 5 out of 7 day rota, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure guests arriving and leaving the building are greeted and helped in a professional, courteous way
• To oversee the smooth running of the car parking areas, organise valeting, and reserve parking areas where necessary
• To act in a pro-active efficient way when handling and storing luggage from arriving guests as well as those leaving and take responsibility for the safety and retrieval of that luggage.
• To ensure the Hall Porter is aware of and has sufficient local knowledge to be able to provide information about local transport, entertainment and leisure
• To ensure the day Hall Porter is aware each day of the in-house activities, conferences and functions taking place in the hotel
• To respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, complaints and compliments and liaise with Head of Department.

Health & Safety

• To comply with the hotel’s Health and Safety Regulations, Fire precautions and Evacuation procedures.
• Lift luggage in accordance with Manual Handling procedures. Report any hazards to the Duty Manager.
• To ensure the front of the hotel is free from hazards
