Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Haydock, St Helens is seeking a Customer Supporter to join our retirement community. This role is 20 hours per week, paying £12.90 per hour, with duties spanning resident support, life-skills development, and contributions to a caring, inclusive, not-for-profit environment.

You will be the first point of contact for inquiries, help maintain safety standards, and assist with social activities while developing strong resident relationships in a compassionate team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults, including mental health or substance misuse.
  • Ability to use IT systems confidently.
  • Experience in challenging environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for customer queries.
  • Build relationships with residents and support life skills development.
  • Handle emergency or challenging situations.
  • Deliver excellent service and go beyond to assist customers.
  • Organise and run social activities occasionally.
  • Assist with health and safety tasks such as fire checks.
  • Ensure service security is maintained.
  • Write and update customer notes.

Your role:
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Developing good relationships with customers, helping them develop life skills
  • Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
  • Going above and beyond to ensure an excellent service is provided to our customers
  • Occasionally organising and running social activities
  • Some health and safety responsibilities e.g. fire safety checks
  • Ensuring the security of the service is maintained
  • Writing and updating customer notes
Your Skills:
