Flourish Education is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher for a part-time role in Redditch from October 2026. You’ll teach KS3/KS4, create engaging lessons and support students’ confidence and skills in Computing.

The role suits an experienced CS teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop in a welcoming secondary school environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (UK) or currently completing an ECT programme.
• Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school.

Job description

Flourish Education is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Redditch from October 2026. This is a part-time opportunity for a teacher who enjoys creating engaging lessons and helping young people build their confidence and skills in Computer Science.

The school is looking for someone who can bring energy and creativity to the classroom, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will become part of a supportive department where staff work together to provide students with a positive and engaging learning experience.

This position would suit an experienced Computer Science Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their teaching experience within a welcoming secondary school environment.

Job Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the different needs and abilities of students
• Encourage pupils to develop their knowledge, confidence and practical computing skills
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback where required
• Establish and maintain clear expectations for behaviour and classroom conduct
• Work closely with colleagues within the department and across the wider school
• Contribute towards creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing an ECT programme
• Experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school environment
• Strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Computer Science curriculum
• Good subject knowledge with the ability to make lessons accessible and engaging
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• A commitment to supporting students of different abilities and learning needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
