Are you a dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a supportive secondary school environment?

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Redditch from October 2026. The school is looking for a teacher who can create engaging learning experiences, build positive relationships with students and encourage a genuine interest in Science.

This role would suit an experienced Science Teacher who is looking for a new challenge, as well as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking an opportunity to develop their classroom experience. You will be joining a department where teamwork, consistency and high standards are encouraged, with a focus on helping students make strong academic and personal progress.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering well-structured Science lessons, assessing student understanding and adapting teaching to meet the needs of different learners. You will also play an active role in creating a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and achieve.

The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on your availability. A full-time appointment will involve taking on full classroom responsibilities, including lesson planning, delivery, assessment and supporting students across the academic year.

Job Role

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3–5
• Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour management and implement school policies
• Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience teaching Biology, Physics and Chemistry
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Excellent subject knowledge and confident delivery across relevant Key Stages
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
• Organised, reliable, and committed to pupil progress

What We Offer

• Pay from £174.71-£240.70 which equates to £34,068 to £46,937 based on working 5 days a week for a full school year dependant on experience (M1-M6)

This Science Teacher role is based in Redditch, with the school easily commutable from surrounding areas including Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, Stratford-upon-Avon, Solihull and Birmingham. The school is well-connected by public transport and has excellent road links, making it easily accessible for teachers travelling from across Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.
