Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Computing Teacher for a mixed secondary school in Middlesbrough to cover a long-term staff absence from 2 November to 18 December 2026. You will deliver Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop knowledge in Computer Science, programming, digital literacy and ICT.

The role welcomes QTS but applications from unqualified teachers or experienced cover staff with a strong Computing/ICT background are invited.

Qualifications

• QTS desirable but not essential.
• Experience teaching Computer Science and/or ICT.
• Enhanced DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.

Veritas Education is recruiting a Computing Teacher for a mixed secondary school in Middlesbrough to cover a long-term staff absence from 2nd November until 18th December 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their knowledge of Computer Science, programming, digital literacy and ICT.

The school is seeking a Computing specialist with QTS, although applications are also welcome from unqualified teachers or experienced cover staff with a strong background teaching or delivering Computer Science and/or ICT.

The Role:

• Full-time position (5 days per week)
• Teach Computing across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
• Support students to achieve their full potential
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning

Requirements:

• QTS desirable but not essential
• Experience teaching or covering Computer Science and/or ICT
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom presence
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
