Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Goodwood is offering a placement year as a Computer Aided Quality Technician for Exterior Surface. You will help implement data quality improvements and prepare KPI reports while supporting production partners.

Ideal candidates are working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, fluent in English, with an interest in information systems and low‑code tools, ready to contribute to a motivated team in a dynamic setting.

We in the Exterior Surface Centre supply our customers with the pinnacle in automotive surface finishing. Our class leading team of experts apply state of the art methods & materials to realise our customer’s dreams.

What awaits you?

• Developing innovative solutions to continuously improve data quality processes.
• Developing and compiling key performance indicating reports.
• Liaising with production partners and supporting departments.
• Analysing and presenting data and quality characteristics to support further development of surface finish quality.
• Adapting computer aided quality systems and methods to support production processes.
• Liaising with support functions such as planning, logistics and the production functions with respect to, improving product quality and information transparency.

What should you bring along?

• Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant field.
• Interested in information systems technology.
• Drive to create unconventional solutions and ideas.
• Ability to contribute to and be part of a motivated team.
• Awareness of the Agile Working methodology.
• Fluent English is essential; a working knowledge of German would be beneficial.
• Very good PC skills, an interest in 'low code' development (Microsoft Power apps, SQLdeveloper, Oracle Apex or similar Data analysis tools).
