Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood, part of the BMW Group UK, offers a placement year where you will be immersed in production and distribution operations. You’ll learn the end-to-end lifecycle from order to delivery while supporting daily tasks and driving process improvements.

You will collaborate across teams, handle problem solving, and work autonomously on projects to improve performance. Eligibility requires returning to studies for at least 6 months and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Studying for a bachelor degree in a technical or business processes based degree.
• Computer literate with Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL and HTML is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operational tasks in production and distribution.
• Assist problem solving in the operational environment.
• Support prioritisation and delivery of customer vehicles on time.
• Report on production and distribution performance; drive process and system improvements.

The role is broad, cross functional and interacts with many different aspects of the business. The exposure to topics such as volume planning, problem solving topics from production, or prioritising vehicles with the assembly teams is daily business. It is an excellent department from within which to learn about the complete life cycle of vehicle production from order to delivery as well as develop and introduce innovation and digitalisation topics throughout manufacturing.

• The job combines a supporting role for the existing team structure with the need to work autonomously and with its own responsibilities for various projects to help deliver continuous improvement and improved performance within the team and business areas within which it interacts.

What should you bring along?

• Studying for a bachelor degree in a technical or business processes based degree.
• Computer literate, good skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Ability in Visual basic is ideal, additionally SQL and HTML experience is ideal.
