Job summary

Babcock is recruiting a Compliance Project Engineer for its Devonport Royal Dockyard site. You will monitor compliance status, support investigations, and assist with asset management processes, contributing to safer and more compliant non‑nuclear assets across the site.

The role requires knowledge of relevant legislation, experience with CAFM systems (Maximo), and strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of statutory legislation relevant to engineering or asset compliance.
• Experience using Maximo or other CAFM systems.
• Understanding of engineering design principles and safety practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience engaging effectively with stakeholders and supporting asset management or maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance status of non‑nuclear assets across the site.
• Support management and resolution of identified compliance issues and investigations.
• Assist with asset registration, disposal activities and asset management processes.
• Provide maintenance and survey compliance support to keep assets safe and fit for purpose.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
