Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Non-Nuclear Senior Support Engineer for the Devonport Royal Dockyard site in Plymouth. You will support asset management, safety compliance and long-term stewardship of non-nuclear assets to enable national capability and informed investment decisions.

The role requires SC security clearance and a strong background in engineering principles, asset management and stakeholder engagement. It is a full-time on-site position with generous benefits and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting asset management, maintenance or compliance activities.
• Understanding of engineering design principles and safe engineering practices.
• Awareness of statutory legislation relating to non-nuclear assets.
• Knowledge of Maximo or similar CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering compliance, asset management and safety activities across non-nuclear plant assets.
• Conducting asset surveys, investigations and technical assessments to support informed decision-making.
• Managing asset registration, disposal, concessions and deviation processes in line with business requirements.
• Collaborating with maintenance, project and operational teams to improve asset performance and compliance.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term infrastructure and investment strategies.
