Job summary

The Sovini Group, via One Vision Housing, is looking for a Compliance Coordinator to support building and fire safety across residential properties. You will assist the Building and Fire Safety Officer, engage residents on safety matters, and help ensure high quality safety standards.

This permanent role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for ongoing CPD, with a focus on equalities and inclusive practice across our housing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Knowledge of building safety and fire safety.
• Ability to work flexibly and out of hours where necessary.
• Willing to undertake any relevant qualifications and CPD.
• Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to fixing and exacting timescales.
• Developing and delivering effective building safety and fire safety policies, procedures and working practices.
• Assisting with monitoring systems to assess and manage risk.
• Clear understanding of risk management and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

This position is a permanent opportunity As a Compliance Coordinator, you will be expected to:

• Assist the Building and Fire Safety Officer in ensuring compliance with all relevant building and fire safety legislation across residential properties. To be successful in a Compliance Coordinator role, the skills you will need:

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (will also require business user car insurance)
  Knowledge of building safety and fire safety
• Ability to work flexibly and out of hours where necessary.
• Willing to undertake any relevant qualifications and CPD.
• Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to fixing and exacting timescales.
• Developing and delivering effective building safety and fire safety policies, procedures and working practices.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

• A relevant Building Safety or Fire Safety Qualification.
• Relevant building, maintenance, compliance, or facilities management qualification OR equivalent
• NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management OR equivalent
• Carrying out mandatory fire door inspections
• Knowledge of building construction and maintenance industries.
  Working on fire safety and building safety programmes and projects.
