Job summary

Thames Water is hiring a Compliance Analyst – Benefits and Outcome Assurance to provide independent assurance across key environmental programmes. You will evaluate performance, risks, costs and benefits, translating complex information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Based in Reading with hybrid working and travel to other sites. The role focuses on WINEP/WAAP activities, regulatory alignment, and delivering evidence-based assurance across environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in environmental programmes, water or wastewater operations, or comparable regulated infrastructure.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and regulatory discussions through evidence-based advice.
• Strong analytical and numerical capability with large datasets.
• Knowledge of governance, risk, assurance and change-control in regulated programmes.

Responsibilities

• Assure delivery against time, cost, quality, regulatory and environmental outcomes for WINEP/WAAP activities.
• Evaluate delivery plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and evidence to form clear assurance conclusions.
• Provide independent challenge and evidence-based recommendations to delivery teams.
• Advise on improvements in benefits reporting and assurance processes.
• Engage with Environment Agency and Ofwat to align requirements with regulator expectations.
• Ensure alignment between programme plans, commitments and ODIs with environmental requirements.
• Identify shortfalls, risks and opportunities to improve outcomes or value.
• Translate complex information into concise recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead alignment sessions and prepare briefing material for informed decisions.
