Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Trafford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school from September. The role focuses on helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals within a supportive team.

You will work with pupils with complex needs, including ASC, SLD, and PMLD, providing 1:1 and small group support, and assisting with personal care where required.

Complex SEN Learning Support Assistant

Trafford | Full-Time | September Start

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Trafford this September.

The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and complex communication needs. You will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEN.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Assist with communication strategies and sensory-based learning.
