Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is hiring a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Tameside, Greater Manchester. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs, including ASC, SLD, PMLD, and communication challenges, working closely with teachers and therapists to enable access to a tailored curriculum.

The role requires a patient, resilient approach, strong teamwork, and the ability to support personal care and interventions.

Qualifications

Experience with SEND, complex needs or healthcare settings.
Patient, resilient and caring approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable assisting with personal care needs.
Qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
Assist with personal care where required.
Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Support the delivery of individual learning plans and therapeutic interventions.
Encourage pupil independence and celebrate progress.
