Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking a dedicated support worker to provide strength-based and trauma-informed assistance to residents in our housing services. You will manage a caseload, deliver 1:1 sessions, and signpost resources to help residents gain independence.

You will help residents understand tenancy documents, review benefits, and incorporate gaps into ongoing engagement plans. The role emphasizes safeguarding and building trusting relationships to deliver outcome-focused support.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housing or welfare support is desirable.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and DBS requirements is beneficial.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strength-based, trauma-informed support to residents and develop meaningful, outcome-focused support plans.
  • Deliver 1:1 support sessions, interventions and signposting to help residents gain independence.
  • Manage a caseload to ensure residents receive appropriate levels of support.
  • Assist residents with tenancy documentation, benefits, and identify gaps to inform future engagement.
  • Uphold safeguarding awareness and protect residents, colleagues and the wider community.

Job description

  • Providing strength based and trauma informed support, building trusting relationships with residents and creating meaningful (outcome focused) support plans.
  • Providing 1:1 support sessions, interventions and signposting to help residents gain independence.
  • Manage a caseload of residents in an effective way to ensure all residents receive and engage with appropriate amounts and types of support for their needs.
  • Support residents to understand and complete tenancy documentation, understand their benefits and identify knowledge gaps which can be added into support plans for future engagement.
  • Uphold high levels of safeguarding awareness and protection for individuals, residents, colleagues and the wider community.
