Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Support Specialist to provide tailored support for individuals with SEND in educational or care settings. You will develop personalised plans, deliver specialized activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach.

You will monitor progress, adapt strategies as needed, and promote wellbeing while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for learners with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Qualification in health and social care, special education, or related field (Level 3+).
• Additional training in behaviour management or de-escalation.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation and best practices for SEND.
• Proven experience with individuals with SEND/complex needs.
• Strong understanding of learning, emotional and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to individuals with complex needs in educational or care settings.
• Develop and implement individualised support plans based on assessments.
• Assist in delivering specialised educational programmes and activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and other professionals for holistic support.
• Monitor progress, adjust strategies, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and well-being with emotional and practical support.
