Job summary

Academics Ltd in Wirral is seeking a highly experienced Complex Needs Teacher to join a specialist school. You will deliver tailored education for pupils with PMLD, SLD and ASC, building engaging lessons and supportive IEP-focused planning.

You will collaborate with teaching assistants, speech and language therapists and families, monitor progress, manage behaviour, and adapt approaches to evolving needs. QTS with SEND experience is essential, Team Teach training is a bonus, and a commitment to

Qualifications

Qualifications - Hold Qualifying Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualifications.
Experience - Previously taught in an SEND setting with SLD and PMLD.
Training - Team Teach training would be advantageous.
Attributes - Resilient, empathetic, adaptable and passionate about empowering students with complex needs.
Location - Based in Wirral or easily accessible.

Responsibilities

Delivering Engaging Lessons: Plan and adapt the curriculum for students with complex needs.
Providing a Safe Environment: Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom.
Work Multidisciplinary: Collaborate with TAs, therapists and parents on IEPs.
Tracking Progress: Monitor and record student progress and adjust approaches.
