Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a Complex Needs Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the ALN team, ensuring the delivery of statutory ALN duties and high-quality provision for children and young people with complex needs.

You will oversee complex casework, placement arrangements, dispute resolution, and Education Tribunal Wales processes, working with schools, settings, partner agencies and families to secure positive outcomes and improve life chances.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the ALN Act.
• Experience supporting learners with ALN needs.
• Confident leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build effective partnerships.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Complex Needs Team.
• Ensure delivery of statutory ALN functions across the Local Authority.
• Oversee complex casework, placement arrangements and dispute resolution.
• Represent the authority in Education Tribunal Wales proceedings.
• Collaborate with schools, settings, partner agencies and families to secure positive outcomes.
