Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist an adult with complex care needs in their own home in Wickford, Essex. You will work as part of a consistent care team, delivering person-centred care, promoting independence, and assisting with rehabilitation and daily activities.

The role offers day shifts, including 8am–8pm and night periods, on a flexible zero-hours contract with regular weekly rotas and a strong support network. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Excellent communication skills, including lip reading; ability to work in a two-person team.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support one individual with complex needs as part of a two-person care team.
• Promote independence and assist with rehabilitation and activities.
• Monitor skin integrity and assist with personal care and transfers.
