Job summary

Routes Healthcare (North) Limited is seeking a Complex Care Assistant in Holbeck, Leeds to support a university student with daily living tasks, mobility, and community activities. You will provide compassionate care, accompany the client to university, and help maintain independence.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, and prior UK care experience. Competitive pay, mileage allowance, and guaranteed hours after probation are offered.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK required.

• Willingness to undertake specialist complex care training.

Responsibilities

• Support with bathing and personal care.
• Apply prescribed creams and assist with bandaging.
• Support pain management per care plans.
• Assist with dietary and nutritional needs.
• Support mobility and daily activities.
• Accompany client to university and community activities.
• Promote independence, dignity, and choice.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain accurate care records and report concerns.

Complex Care Assistant

Location: Holbeck, Leeds

Pay Rate: £17.93 per hour (including holiday pay) + 30p per mile

Plus: Fully funded Enhanced DBS and guaranteed hours available after successful completion of probation.

About the Client

We are recruiting for a rewarding complex care package supporting university student. The client requires support with all aspects of daily living, enabling client to remain independent at home, in the community, and while attending university.

Staff will accompany the client to university 3-4 times per week and provide support throughout his day.

Shift Pattern

University Support

• Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

Evening Support

• Daily: 6:30pm - 9:00pm
• Thursday & Sunday: 1:30pm - 9:00pm

Waking Nights

• Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday: 10:00pm - 8:00am

Duties Include

• Supporting with bathing and personal care

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience within complex care
• Experience supporting young adults
