Job summary

City and County Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking carers to support a 54-year-old gentleman with cerebral palsy in his own home in Lincoln.

You will assist with evening and night-time routines, and weekend activities, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care as part of a nurse-led training program. The role may involve personal care, mobility assistance, medication administration, and providing companionship in the community, with comprehensive training and career growth opportunities

Qualifications

• No care experience required, full nurse-led training provided.
• Experience with medication administration and moving and handling would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support with personal care, including showering.
• Assist with moving and handling.
• Prepare meals for the client.
• Administer medications as trained.
• Complete evening and night-time routines.
• Assist with weekends activities and days out in the community.

Shifts: Day shifts available | Monday to Friday, 3:15 pm – 9:30 pm | Weekends, 7:00 am – 9:30 pm

Job Description

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll support a 54-year-old gentleman with cerebral palsy in his own home. Our client attends a day centre during the week, and you’ll provide support when he returns home, helping him with his evening and night-time routine.

At weekends, you may also support him to get out and enjoy activities in the community. He particularly enjoys hydrotherapy swimming, listening to music and watching television.

The key tasks within this role include:

• Supporting with personal care, including showering
• Moving and handling
• Preparing mealsAdministering medication
• Completing his evening and night-time routine
• Supporting him with days out and activities at weekends

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need any care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion and resilience, as we provide full nurse-led training. Experience with medication administration and moving and handling would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
