Interserve Healthcare is seeking a dedicated care assistant in Ipswich to support a client with a spinal injury. You will assist with mobility, personal care, medication administration, and daily activities at home and work. Full nurse-led training is provided, and prior spinal injury or catheter care experience will help you stand out.

Job Description

You will be supporting a gentleman with a C4 spinal injury where the main duties of this role will be to support him with mobility, assist him with personal care and help him to be independent both at home and at work. He does have a suprapubic catheter with a history of autonomic dysreflexia, so this will be need to monitored and maintained. The night time care staff will also assist with bowel care in the morning.

This client enjoys socialising with his friends, especially attending football matches.

The key tasks with this role include:

• Moving and Handling
• Administering medication
• Personal care including catheter care and bowel management.
• Supporting with day to day activities at home and place of work (e.g. sending e-mails on his behalf)

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
