CCH Group in Retford is seeking caring individuals to join our Complex Care team. You will support a gentleman with a C4 spinal injury, assisting with mobility, personal care, and helping him stay independent at home and at work.

No prior care experience is required as full nurse-led training is provided. Night shifts are available; daytime shifts between 8:30am and 9:30pm. A full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required due to local transport gaps.

Pay: Days -£13.55 per hour | Nights - £14.25 per hour

Shifts:Day & Nights Available 8:30am - 9:30pm | 8:30pm - 9:30am

Driver: Yes -A full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, due to the geographical location of the role and lack of public transport in the local area.

Job Description

What you’ll do

You will be supporting a gentleman with a C4 spinal injury where the main duties of this role will be to support him with mobility, assist him with personal care and help him to be independent both at home and at work. He does have a suprapubic catheter with a history of autonomic dysreflexia, so this will be need to monitored and maintained. The night time care staff will also assist with bowel care in the morning.

This client enjoys socialising with his friends, especially attending football matches.

The key tasks with this role include:

• Moving and Handling
• Administering medication
• Personal care including catheter care and bowel management.
• Supporting with day to day activities at home and place of work (e.g. sending e-mails on his behalf)

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need any care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience as we provide full nurse-led training. However experience in the following will make your application stand out prior to being contacted for an interview:
