Job summary

Total Community Care, part of CCH, is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support a young man with a spinal cord injury in Cambridge. You will assist with daily tasks, personal care, meals, housework, and accompany him to appointments and activities.

Full training provided; no complex care experience required though spinal injury experience is advantageous. DBS check offered and career progression opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• No complex care experience required.
• Experience with spinal injuries would be advantageous.

Job Description

What you’ll need

We are seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to join our existing team to care and offer support for a young gentleman with a spinal cord injury.

You will be helping our client with everyday tasks which can include:

• Support with personal care

• Meal preparation

• Cleaning/laundry

• Attending social activities & appointments

• Using specialist moving and handling equipment.

He has a wide array of hobbies and interests that he'll likes to express and share with his care team such as gaming, cars, film and tv shows.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need complex care experience to apply for this role as this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and become part of a team that makes a real difference. However experience with spinal injuries would make your application extremely advantageous.
