Job summary

CCH (Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH) is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a 93-year-old gentleman with a tracheostomy at his home in Nottingham. You will be part of a nurse-led team and receive comprehensive training to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role includes personal care, tracheostomy and PEG care, feeding support, moving and handling, bowel management, medication administration and day-to-day assistance. Shifts span days and nights with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• You don't need previous care experience to apply, as full nurse-led training is provided.
• Previous experience with tracheostomy care or PEG care is beneficial but not essential.

Job Description

What you’ll do

In this role, you'll support a 93-year-old gentleman with complex care needs who has a tracheostomy. You'll be there to help him remain comfortable and well supported while receiving care within his own home.

The key tasks within this role include:

• Providing personal care
• Tracheostomy care
• PEG feed management
• Moving and handling
• Supporting with bowel management
• Administering medication
• Supporting with day-to-day activities

Our enjoys watching television and films and is particularly interested in football and cricket, if you are a fan of the latter it would be a big plus!

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don't need previous care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion and resilience, as we provide full nurse-led training.

Previous experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG care, bowel management, medication administration or moving and handling would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

A meet and greet with the client will be required as part of the recruitment process.
