City & County Healthcare Group in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support a 93-year-old man with a tracheostomy in his own home. You’ll provide personal care and assist with PEG feed management, moving and handling, and day-to-day activities under nurse-led training.

No previous care experience is required as full training will be provided. The role offers day and night shifts with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for career progression within CCH.

Job Description

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll support a 93-year-old gentleman with complex care needs who has a tracheostomy. You’ll be there to help him remain comfortable and well supported while receiving care within his own home.

The key tasks within this role include:

• Providing personal care
• Tracheostomy care
• PEG feed management
• Moving and handling
• Supporting with bowel management
• Administering medication
• Supporting with day-to-day activities

Our enjoys watching television and films and is particularly interested in football and cricket, if you are a fan of the latter it would be a big plus!

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need previous care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion and resilience, as we provide full nurse-led training.

Previous experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG care, bowel management, medication administration or moving and handling would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.

A meet and greet with the client will be required as part of the recruitment process.
