We’re looking for a compensation specialist to join our ranks. Do you pride yourself on your attention to detail and organizational skills? Are you a team player with a can-do attitude and a relentless spirit of self-motivation? Our Compensation team is looking for someone who possesses these traits, in addition to being a customer service expert with top-notch problem-solving and multitasking skills. As a compensation specialist, you will collaborate with departments to resolve issues and maintain advisor compensation information, as well as keep track of revenue and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Entering daily totals for all revenue received with near-perfect accuracy
  2. Research and respond to advisor phone calls and email inquiries
  3. Processing bimonthly revenue payments to advisors for equity, insurance, and advisory compensation
  4. Generating revenue statements and checks
  5. Facilitating direct deposits
  6. Coordinating mailing and overnight delivery of statements
  7. Managing and maintaining additional compensation information
  8. Collaborating with departments throughout the firm, as well as with fund companies, to research and resolve inquiries submitted via web, phone, fax, or email
  9. Performing special projects and tasks as needed

Core Strengths and Skills

  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel)
  2. Ability to quickly learn other Windows-based software
  3. Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  4. Attention to detail that stands out as a top skill
  5. Patience for repetitive duties and data entry
  6. An eye for process improvements and a passion for quality assurance
  7. Able to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner
  8. Exemplary phone skills
  9. Works well both on a team and independently

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  1. College degree or equivalent professional experience is a must
  2. Accounting or financial services operations experience is preferred
  3. At least 6 months of customer service experience is preferred
