AMA Admin is assisting a welcoming secondary school on Canvey Island in finding a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school. This role focuses on learner progress, wellbeing, and personal development within an inclusive environment.

The school values collaboration, inclusion, and strong pastoral care, offering a supportive team and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Experience with SEND and SEMH is welcome, and QCF/Level 2/3 TA qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.
• Assist with the delivery of lessons and targeted interventions.
• Support pupils with SEND and SEMH where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Prepare resources and support classroom organisation.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
