Job summary

AMA Admin is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Grays to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils across the school, helping with academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

The role involves working with teachers and other staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be caring, patient and enthusiastic about working with children, with a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class, small groups, and one-to-one.
• Assist with lesson delivery and targeted interventions.
• Support pupils with SEND/SEMH where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Prepare resources and support classroom organisation.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, and activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
