Job summary

Five Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a special school in Yeovil. The role is to support identified pupils with Special Education Needs (SEN) and/ or mental health challenges. This work will be supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups.

We offer free DBS, specialist training in Team Teach and more, with a friendly team and specialist mentoring while you are deployed. Right to work in the UK required; DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND such as Autism or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Ability to stay calm and patient in dynamic school environments.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Support pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
• Work with teachers and SENCOs to support EHCP targets
• Help create a structured, safe, engaging learning environment
