Job summary

Southdown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Shoreham-by-Sea to help adults with disabilities live more independently. You’ll assist with daily living tasks, accompany clients on local activities, and provide respectful, empowering care.

The role includes overnight waking duties from 10pm to 7am and a base hourly rate with a nightly uplift. Full training is provided and an Enhanced DBS check will be funded by Southdown.

Qualifications

• A patient, empathetic mindset.
• Willingness to complete training provided by Southdown in health and social care, moving and handling, safeguarding, safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to access community and daily living tasks, including walks and activities.
• Assist with mobility and personal care, as well as household tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
• Promote independence and empower clients through compassionate care.
