Ideal candidates will have experience as a Support Worker or related roles, hold a Full UK Driving Licence, and be comfortable around dogs. Competitive pay and full induction with ongoing supervision are offered.

Job description

  • Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
  • Pay Rate: £15.40 per hour
  • Hours: 10 hours per week (must be flexible to work on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridays between 08:30 - 13:30)
  • Essential: Full UK Driving Licence

Are you an experienced Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Complex Care Support Worker, or Brain Injury Support Worker looking for a rewarding part‑time role in Hull?

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to provide one‑to‑one support for a gentleman living with the long‑term effects of a brain injury. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by promoting independence, confidence, wellbeing, and community engagement.

This role would suit someone who enjoys building positive relationships, providing person‑centred support, and helping individuals achieve their goals in everyday life.

About the Client

You will be supporting a friendly and motivated gentleman in his 50s who lives with his family in Hull. Following a brain injury, he experiences:

  • Reduced mobility and physical weakness on one side
  • Mild epilepsy
  • Tinnitus and hearing loss

Despite these challenges, he remains determined to maintain his independence and enjoy life to the fullest. Your support will play a key role in helping him continue achieving this.

The family also have a friendly Labrador, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs.

Responsibilities

As a Brain Injury Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
