Job summary

CASSIDY RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking compassionate Support Workers to provide person-centred care for adults aged 18-40 with learning disabilities and complex needs. Roles include 1:1 or 2:1 support to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will assist with daily living activities, accompany individuals to appointments and community activities, and work closely with families and care teams to follow care plans and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs is desirable.
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Promoting independence, choice and dignity.
• Supporting individuals to access the community, activities and appointments.
• Providing support to adults with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
• Building positive relationships with individuals, families and colleagues.
• Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Encouraging individuals to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
