Job summary

CrossReach is hiring a Care Worker to support older people in living with dignity, independence and comfort. The role covers personal care, meals, and companionship aimed at enabling residents to live well and feel valued.

We provide training and development opportunities. The post requires PVG membership, SSSC registration and a Christian ethos as part of our service. UK work entitlement is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential.
• You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.
• This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
• UK entitlement to work is required by law for all prospective employees.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and day-to-day living.
• Assist with meals and promote nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage independence and individual choice.
• Help residents stay active and engaged in daily life.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Work as part of a team to deliver person-centred care.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures.
