Job summary

CrossReach is seeking dedicated care workers in Scotland to support older residents in daily living and wellbeing. You will provide personal care, assist with meals, and promote independence while building trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

The role emphasizes dignity, compassion and teamwork, with full induction and ongoing training. A PVG check and SSSC registration are required, along with a Christian ethos aligned to our mission.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare is required or willingness to work towards it.
• Membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC is required.
• Experience in care is welcome but not essential; values and willingness to learn matter.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assist with meals and encourage good nutrition and hydration
• Promote independence, choice and wellbeing
• Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
• Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures and best practice
