Job summary

Lift Lea Forest is seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support an individual pupil with additional needs within an Outstanding primary school in Birmingham. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to adapt learning and deliver targeted interventions.

You will help the pupil access learning, develop confidence and independence, and promote positive social interactions while safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in a school setting preferred.
• Understanding of SEND and how additional needs affect learning and development.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with a pupil while maintaining boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, individualised support to a specific pupil throughout the school day.
• Work with the class teacher and SEND team to adapt and reinforce learning for the pupil's needs.
• Support social and emotional development and promote independence and positive interactions with peers.
