University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a hospital porter to support clinical and non-clinical teams 24 hours a day on a rotational shift. The role involves moving patients, equipment, and notes between wards and departments, including stretcher transfers and mortuary duties.

The post requires basic literacy/numeracy and a full UK driving licence, with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and flexibility to meet service needs.

Formación

• Basic literacy and numeracy are required.
• Able to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Able to deal with the public and work under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence required (up to 6 points).
• Demonstrate written and verbal clarity in English.
• Physically capable of performing duties and observing safety policies.

Responsabilidades

• Move patients, equipment, and notes around the hospital.
• Assist patients into wheelchairs and beds for transport.
• Transfer deceased patients to mortuary and assist with out-of-hours viewing.
