Job summary

EMED Group is recruiting an Ambulance Care Assistant to join our Nottingham team (NG2). This full-time, permanent role covers shifts from 05:30 to 00:00, Mon-Sun, with a start date of Monday 16th November.

You will transport elderly and vulnerable service users to appointments and between facilities, sometimes in two-person crews, requiring a UK driving licence and good physical fitness. You’ll view our day-in-the-life video via our site and benefit from a comprehensive package including holiday

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK manual driving licence (6 points maximum).
• Be committed to patient care and able to communicate effectively in potentially emotional situations.
• Be a calm, careful driver with a teamwork mindset.
• Be physically fit for patient handling and moving.

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
• Assist with end-of-life transport with empathy and care.
• Liaise with patients and relatives to build rapport and ensure safe handover of patients.
• Ensure ambulance is kept clean, safe and ready for use.
