Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a Care & Support Worker / Personal Assistant to provide person-centred care for a 25-year-old young woman in local community settings.

The role involves enabling participation in daily and community life, ensuring safety, and supporting communication through AAC devices. The position requires DBS checks and flexible, compassionate support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care or support role.
• Relevant training or qualifications in social care support and management of epilepsy.

Responsibilities

• Support access to the community, work and social activities.
• Encourage independence, choice, and control.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
• Follow agreed care/support plans and risk assessments.
• Assist with or administer emergency medication where trained.
• Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Work flexibly and undertake training as required.
