Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to provide compassionate in-home support. You will help with daily living activities while living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, ensuring dignity and respect in every task.

Comprehensive training will be provided; no prior carer experience is required. The role offers a chance to contribute to fulfilling life activities and maintain a supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and patient in a caring role.
• Strong composure and calm under pressure.
• Demonstrates compassion, empathy and respectful conduct.
• Emotional maturity to manage situations kindly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (washing, toileting, grooming, dressing).
• Assist with mobility, getting in/out of wheelchair and repositioning.
• Assist with feeding and daily living activities with dignity.
• Support participation in social activities and routines.
• Training will be provided; no prior carer experience required.
