UKCIL Ltd is seeking a kind, patient Personal Assistant to support a 20-year-old man with autism in the Leeds LS9 area. The role focuses on building confidence and independence while engaging with the community and developing everyday life skills.

You'll help with meals, money handling, shopping, and keeping spaces tidy, while encouraging participation in activities. A calm, reliable, and empathetic approach is essential, with patience and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism would be helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.

Responsabilités

• Support the young adult to build confidence and independence in community settings.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking simple meals and budgeting.
• Promote life skills, routines and prompt memory without taking over.
• Provide gentle reassurance and clear, calm communication when anxiety arises.
• Encourage participation in activities and outings in the Leeds LS9 area.
