Job summary

Disability North is seeking a part-time support worker to provide one-to-one assistance for a 33-year-old man with Autism/ADHD in his home and community settings in Backworth. Shifts are 20 hours per week with potential overtime, daytime hours to be discussed.

Full training provided, DBS enhancements will be required, and residents live in supported accommodation. The role requires calm, respectful communication, reliability, and a proactive approach to daily living tasks while maintaining

• Experience of working with challenging behaviour.
• Experience providing emotional support.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a 33-year-old male in home and community settings.
• Maintain safety and respond to high-risk situations.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support routines, monitoring, and engagement, including activities and therapies.
