Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is seeking an Older People Support Worker to provide person-centred care for older adults, including those with dementia. The role involves personal care, nutrition support, and assisting with medications, with travel across Essex to support centres and community activities.

You will engage in a range of tailored activities to promote independence and social interaction, working 15 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings and joining a dedicated team

Qualifications

• To be considered as an Older People Support Worker, you need to be passionate about providing a high level of care and support to older people.
• Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
• Empathetic approach and willingness to provide personal care.
• Basic IT skills and a proactive, flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support older people, including those living with dementia or frailty, with personal care and nutrition/hydration.
• Assist with medication administration where required.
• Deliver tailored activities to maintain independence and encourage social interaction on-site and in the community.
