Job summary
Essex Cares Limited is seeking an Older People Support Worker to provide compassionate, person-centred support to older adults across Essex and beyond. The role includes delivering tailored activities to maintain independence and encourage social interaction, across on-site and community settings, with travel between centers.
The post requires a full driving licence and own vehicle, 37 hours per week, and a permanent full-time contract.
Qualifications
- To be passionate about providing a high level of care and support to older people
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
- To possess an empathetic approach
- To be willing to provide personal care
- Basic IT skills
- A proactive approach to work and be able to work on your own initiative
- To be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the work environment
- A full, valid driving licence and own vehicle
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored activities focused on maintaining independence
- Support individuals with decreased mobility or living with Alzheimer's, dementia or Parkinson's
- Enable social interaction through on-site and community-based activities
