Job summary

ECL is seeking an Older People Support Worker to join a dedicated team caring for older people, including those living with dementia. The role focuses on person-centred support, maintaining independence, and promoting social interaction through on-site and community activities.

You will assist with personal care, nutrition, and occasionally medication administration, travelling across Essex for training and center coverage. Full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

• Passion for providing high level of care to older people
• Excellent listening and communication abilities
• Willingness to provide personal care when required
• Basic IT literacy for documentation and scheduling
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative
• Flexibility to meet work environment needs
• Must have full driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Support older people, including those with dementia or frailty, to maintain independence.
• Assist with personal care and nutrition/hydration.
• Support medication administration where required.
• Deliver tailored activities to promote social interaction on-site and in the community.
