Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Learning Support Assistant - Personal Care in Essex to support learners with additional needs, enabling access to lessons and activities.

In this temp role you will provide personal care, assist with mobility and daily living needs, work with teaching staff, and help maintain records in line with safeguarding procedures. A calm, patient approach and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or a genuine willingness to provide personal care support.
• A calm, patient and compassionate approach to working with learners with additional needs.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care support to learners in line with their individual care plans.
• Assisting learners with mobility, hygiene and other daily living needs as required.
• Supporting learners to access lessons and activities alongside their peers.
• Working closely with teaching staff, therapists and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support.
• Encouraging independence and building learners' confidence in their own abilities.
• Maintaining accurate records in line with safeguarding and care procedures.
