Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join partner colleges across the UK. You will provide 1:1 and group support for learners with additional learning needs and assist teachers to maintain an inclusive environment. Safeguarding of vulnerable learners is a key part of the role.

Flexible full-time or part-time hours, term-time opportunities, and weekly pay are offered. Prior experience in SEN or education and a willingness to obtain safeguarding training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, or willingness to obtain training.
• Flexible and compassionate approach to support learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and group support for students with additional learning needs.
• Assist teachers to create an inclusive learning environment for SEN students.
• Ensure safeguarding of vulnerable learners.

No formal teaching qualifications are required, just a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners in their education journey.

Responsibilities:

• 1:1 and group support of students with additional learning needs
• Supporting teachers/lecturers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for SEN students
• Safeguarding of vulnerable learners

Full time and part time hours are available.

Term time only roles are available also.

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEN children or young adults
• Experience in educationOR an extensive care background
• Knowledge of additional learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain
• Enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain
