Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking five Learning Support Assistants to join our team in the Fareham/Southampton area. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs and help them access the curriculum.

You will build positive relationships, adapt your approach to individual needs, and help learners grow in confidence and independence. The role involves collaboration, monitoring progress, and creating an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Commitment to supporting learners with additional needs.
• Ability to build rapport with young people and adults.
• Patience, sensitivity and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Working alongside teaching staff to help students access the curriculum and complete their work.
• Encouraging learner independence, confidence and engagement.
• Supporting the delivery of individual learning plans and monitoring progress.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
