Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our care home team. You’ll maintain high standards of order and tidiness in the laundry, washing, drying, ironing and repairing items, and keeping linen stocks ready for daily use. You’ll work with kindness, listen well and communicate clearly with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, training provided.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communicator with strong listening and instruction abilities.
• Safeguarding training and awareness are expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of order and tidiness in the laundry area.
• Wash, dry, iron and repair items as needed and manage linen stocks.
• Raise issues to the Senior Housekeeper as you go and maintain a safe environment.
• Contribute to making residents' lives longer, happier and healthier.
