Job summary

HC-One - Woodthorpe Lodge is seeking a Laundry Assistant to maintain a clean and well-organised laundry area, ensuring residents’ clothing is clean, fresh and fit for use. You will wash, dry, iron and repair items, keep linen stocks up-to-date, and distribute clean items to the correct rooms.

The role emphasises kindness, excellent time management and strong communication, with training provided and a supportive team focused on resident wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, training will be provided.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills are required.
• Brilliant communicator who listens as well as gives instruction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of order and tidiness in the laundry area.
• Wash, dry, iron and repair items as needed; manage linen stocks.
• Fold and separate linen and clothing for return or redistribution to rooms.
• Ensure environments are well maintained and staff communicate kindly with residents.
