Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Laundry Assistant at Woodthorpe Lodge to maintain a high standard of order in the laundry area and ensure residents’ clothing looks and feels great. You’ll wash, dry, iron and repair items, monitor linen stocks, and support a respectful, caring environment for residents and colleagues.

Great training is provided. You’ll need excellent time management, organisational skills and a positive, kind attitude to communicate well with residents and staff while safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry is preferred, with training provided.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to keep residents’ clothing in good condition.
• Strong communication and listening skills, with a friendly, caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron and mend items as needed to maintain residents’ clothing quality.
• Maintain linen stocks and distribute laundry to rooms accurately.
• Fold, separate and re-distribute linen to correct rooms with care and efficiency.
• Ensure a safe, clean laundry area and report issues to the Senior Housekeeper.
